Amman, October 5th, 2009 – The 6th edition of the Jordan Advertising Awards (JAA) 2009 was held on Saturday, October 3rd at the Four Seasons Hotel, organized by ArabAd and MediaScope, and endorsed by the International Advertising Association (IAA), Jordan Chapter.
First held in the year 2000, the Jordan Advertising Awards is the only award ceremony that celebrates and rewards the creativity and talent of advertising agencies across the Kingdom.
The gala dinner ceremony saw winners receive gold, silver and bronze awards in 62 categories covering TV, radio, BTL, ambient, best-use of media and press. Presenter Rania Kurdi kicked off the show that was attended by over 600 advertising agencies, media professionals and VIPs.
Mr. Walid Azzi, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of ArabAd Magazine spoke about the importance of the Award show to the advertising industry, highlighting the significance of creativity and innovation, amidst the current economic recession.
Zeid Nasser, Managing Director of MediaScope and JAA organizer spoke to the 23 participating agencies saying, “We are all winners when Jordanian creativity is recognized.”
The event was held in a celebratory atmosphere, with the big winners being Team Y&R, AGA Profess Graphics and AdvizeGrey. Details of the event, including the results, are available at jordanadvertisingawards.com.
